Most Illegal Immigrants Don’t Get Legal Representation

According to a survey by the Chicago-based National Immigration Justice Center, thousands of people in immigration detention facilities are held without ready access to legal representation because of geographically-isolated facilities, government restrictions on phone contacts, and inadequately funded legal information programs.
