Client autonomy in criminal cases
Next week I will be discussing the concepts of "client autonomy" and the "allocation of authority" within the attorney-client relationship in both civil and criminal cases. Coincidentally, the Legal Ethics Forum has posted the abstract of a new article on the subject by Erica Hashimoto titled "Resurrecting Autonomy: The Criminal Defendant's Right to Control the Case."
