A few weeks ago I reported (
here) that the lawyers for Roger Clemens asked the court to prohibit prosecutors from putting the former baseball star on trial again, saying the government engaged in intentional misconduct and should be punished. In response, prosecutors have filed a brief arguing that Clemens is "seeking to gain an unwarranted windfall" from an "inadvertent error." Go
here for the full story. Go
here for a copy of the brief. The motions will de discussed at a motion hearing scheduled for Sept. 2.
